SwingBy collects nothing. Not anonymously, not in aggregate, not "to improve the product". There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no account, and no sync.
Everything. Specifically:
None of it leaves the machine, and none of it is readable by us. Deleting the app removes it.
SwingBy makes no network calls of its own. It is sandboxed without the network entitlement, so it could not phone home even if it tried.
Two things do involve a network, and neither is us:
SwingBy checks whether your camera or microphone is in use, so that it can stay quiet while you are on a call. It does this by reading hardware state through the system's audio and video device properties.
It never opens the camera or the microphone, holds no permission to do so, and captures, records and transmits nothing. It cannot see or hear anything. It only knows "something else is using this right now".
To avoid appearing over a fullscreen app, SwingBy asks the window server for the on-screen window sizes. It reads geometry only - not window contents, not titles, not what you are doing.
SwingBy is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this ever changes, it will change here first, and the summary at the top will stop saying "collects nothing". Last updated 5 September 2026.
